Description
Introduction
Mentoring is a supportive relationship between two individuals which exists to support the learning and development of a mentee to reach their potential. The mentor is usually someone more experienced who can provide valuable advice and support.
It is usually mentee-led and the agenda is normally set by the mentee.
- These highlight some differences between mentoring, counselling and coaching.
It can help you with:
- Careers advice
- Personal development
- Motivation
- Problem-solving
- General guidance
- Emotional support
Mentoring will usually be carried out in person (one to one or group), email, phone or over video call such as Zoom.
What we offer
Here at Life’s Tutoring, we are here to guide you in your journey of development. Our mentoring will enable you to achieve your goals with someone by your side. Never again feel that you lack direction or guidance. A mentor is a great way to guide you to where you want to be.
We have experienced mentors from various professions who will sit down and listen to your concerns, questions and ideas. As mentoring is mentee-led, this is a great way for you to take ownership of your development with the assistance of experienced mentors.
We offer formal or informal mentoring depending on your needs, in addition, we also offer short or long-term mentoring.
How it works
You select the number of sessions that you require
We will then contact you via email before the first session, asking you to explain your mentoring needs (this will give us an idea of the type of mentoring that you require)
We will also send you a contract to sign (outlining what to expect in the sessions) which will include setting boundaries outside of sessions
We will then agree on a suitable day and time for your sessions to take place
Please note – Mentoring sessions will usually take place over Zoom, for in-person mentoring, there will be an additional charge.
